Ways to help
1 · Promote
The more use and traction the AI Seed Bank gets, the more useful it becomes to all. Writing articles, promoting on social media, linking to the site, influencer promotion and other marketing efforts are a huge help as we do not have a marketing department or budget.
2 · Seed a model
The cheapest and most valuable help. Download the .torrentfrom the catalog and leave your torrent client running after the download finishes. Aim for a share ratio of 2.0 or better. Transmission and aria2 are solid choices —setup walkthrough on /verify.
3 · Donate
The site has real fixed and capital expenditure costs and will need donations to survive and grow. See below for details.
4 · Seed a block index
The whole catalog is compiled into ~3.5 TB block-index torrents: one torrent file seeds hundreds of models at once — ideal if you have a 4 TB drive or larger. And if a single model's torrent ever goes offline without a seeder, anyone can fetch the blocks from the index and start seeding it again. The first block is defined; the torrents are not published yet — this page will link them the moment they are.
5 · Vote & submit requests
What gets archived next is steered by demand:vote on model requests →. Openly licensed models only.
6 · Spread the word

The seed host, storage, and bandwidth for the current catalog currently cost $500/mo. Seedbank takes no cut and runs no ads — donations pay for keeping verified model torrents alive and reachable.

The Ethereum and Solana addresses will accept any token on their respective chain — stablecoins included — and an asset sent on the wrong chain is usually unrecoverable, so make sure to send to the correct chain.

Larger gifts
Hardware, hosting, or larger one-time gifts: reach the maintainers on GitHub. Region nodes and mirror donors are credited on request.
To realize our vision of archiving all AI models, weights and files, many Petabytes of storage will be needed and in many locations. Larger gifts will go to buy hard drives, storage servers and pods and other server and networking infrastructure.
